OSTEOPOROSIS/OSTEOPENIA PROGRAM
At our clinic we recognize the increased incidence in bone loss in women and men in mid life. Statistics show that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 8 men over 50 years of age will develop osteoporosis. In Canada almost 2 million people are living with osteoporosis. Many of our therapists have taken advanced courses in osteoporosis prevention and treatment and understand the benefits of exercise, diet and lifestyle in the prevention of bone loss and fractures. We have developed a one year quarterly follow up program for the client with bone loss issues. The program involves a detailed assessment, exercise prescription, nutritional consultation and lifestyle analysis to help prevent further bone loss and fracture.
